James Roberts, of Atlanta, killed the buck of a lifetime with his crossbow on the evening of Sept. 18 in Crawford County. Nicknamed “Super 8,” this buck was actually a 9-pointer that green scored 170 3/8 inches and weighed in at 222 pounds. The net score came to 164 4/8". If it holds anything close to that after the required 60-day drying period when it is officially scored, James will have a Top-10 all-time buck for Crawford County, according to GON’s Georgia Deer Records.
